AGRONOMY

Agronomy (Greek; agros = field, nomos = arranging) is more than just pesticide advice.

Agronomy includes farm management, crop choice, rotations, varieties, soils, nutrition, paddock organisation, environmental care and crop assurance.

We specialise in seed, arable crops and forage production where our aim is to provide our clients with expert independent advice from planning through to harvest.

Our core services include the following:

Crop planning: Rotation, crop and variety choice, cultivations, seed rates and input planning.

Fertiliser: Recommendations based on soil and foliage test results as well as crop requirements.
Establishment: Techniques taking into account where cultural methods can be integrated to help with pest control, soil structure, plant health etc.

In Field Agronomy: Crop walking and full monitoring of all combinable and forage crops. Detailed recommendations on all issues of crop management including chemical inputs, crop nutrition and soil health.

Crop Recording: Computerised recommendations and recording using Agworld, an online crop management system making field recording and data sharing quick simple and efficient which helps with traceability and evaluating the cost of production.

Compliance: Through our recording software, we can help farmers examine nutrient use and movements within farm to meet the requirements of “Overseer” Nutrient Budgets and Farm Environment Plans.

Gross Margins and Budgeting: We provide Gross Margins after the harvest of each crop and can produce Budget forecasts at the crop planning stage.

Source and Supply: We can supply forage, cereal and pasture seed mixes at competitive rates.
Agri-chemicals are supplied as full or part cans to minimise on-farm storage and reduce compliance issues. This can be supplied direct to farm for you to organise application. Or if you are a Molloy Agriculture client then the correct amount can be supplied as per the recommendation. Triple rinsed containers can then be re-cycled through our Ag-recovery site. This zero hassle option means no containers, full or empty need to be left on farm.
