Today is the last day of Autumn. Niwa have come out with a long range forecast of a drier than normal winter, while that may be good in the short term (grazing stock and field work) we need winter in the winter months. Remember lambing, calving and irrigation are only a few months away.
You only have until tomorrow morning to email me about winning the vest. See last Fridays Blog.

When workload dictates it is time to have a refresh. Of our staff Josh is in the UK, Tim is off to Australia and Pete will be going the long way back to England this winter. Don't think it can't be done to take a holiday, all we have to do is organize our workload and find somewhere interesting to go and do.

While the weather and ground conditions are in our favour why not get that last minute spraying job done. Now is a good time to tidy up any aphids in Autumn cereal and weed sprays on new grass.

Hi all. It is nice to start a new week with such calm weather. Yesterday seemed as though the weather gods wanted to remind us who is boss. Have a good week.

My thought for today.
As the dairy forecast payement has dropped due to softening worldwide prices and oversupply why is the New Zealand dairy industry selling Livestock and technology to overseas countries.

A lot of Rugby games to watch this weekend. Methven senior team at home and Crusaders home against the Blues. What will Todd Blackadders pulse be like if the Blues win?. Let's hope we have a Blue sky weekend.
